Key Stage 3 - Years 7, 8 and 9

Boys and Girls complete the same activities throughout the year and include football, netball, rugby, hockey, basketball, badminton, swimming, gymnastics, fitness, athletics, tennis and cross country.
In Year Nine, many of the activities remain, but students now also undertake orienteering and problem solving. In Years Ten and Eleven (Key Stage Four), the core activities continue with additional team games and a scheme of lessons based in the weights room.

In accordance with the National Curriculum for Physical Education, the students are taught the implications of physical activity upon their health and are assessed on their ability to understand the whole subject as well as performing specific physical skills.
